Professional Wrestling is a staged sport where the wrestlers participate in scripted live action combat theatre. The way that Wrestlers are paid is typically based on their "drawing power", where fans buy tickets or watch tv/streams etc to see them. Maxwell Jacob Friedman is one of the most critically and commercially successful young professional wrestlers in the world. He wrestles for a promotion called AEW which gave him his launch into the mainstream of the industry as a result of which he signed a long term contract. WWE is the largest pro-wrestling company in the world, they have a significantly larger platform and their content is carefully curated so there is very little room for performer input up until they become personally trusted by the owner. WWE has a Sink or Swim mentality, where they annually mass release wrestlers they do not see value in (even in the face of commercial and critical success) and as a company are often accused of favoritism with their talent. WWE has also had critically inconsistent programming which makes fan investment in characters difficult. AEW by contrast is a promotion that has consistent critically successful programming and allows for much more input from the performers regarding storylines and their character progression. AEW has a habit of signing former WWE talent and paying them competitive wages, as a result of this MJF who is the second biggest draw in AEW is currently paid 4 to 5 times less than an average ex-WWE wrestler in AEW. MJF's contract is up in 2024.

Jeff Winger was a successful attorney who used unethical practices to win cases. After it was found that he had never finished his undergrad, he was forced to go to Greendale community college where he grew into a better and more ethical person. When offered his old job upon graduation, he refuses and starts his own practice to help the little guy. This practice miserably fails and he ends up back at greendale as a law teacher.
